Potato Box Loaders

The Bailey Potato Box Loader incorporates technology previously only available from a local specialist company but proven in the field over a number of years.

The top frame operates using four hydraulic rams, positioned in each corner of the frame. Single line oil pressure is supplied to a gear driven divider valve positioned in the middle of the trailer under the floor. Equal length delivery hoses carry the oil to each ram at the same rate making sure that the rams move at the same time and lift the top equally both ends and side. When the top frame is lowered the weight of the frame forces the oil out of the rams through the valve lowering the top down slowly and safely. The rams are single acting and only need a single spool on the tractor to operate them. The second hose is to allow oil to return direct to the tank if the value over pressures.

The box loader is fitted with cushion locks, these unique cushioned rollers are positioned on the outside of each chute, holding the chute closed by spring force. Whilst filling the top with potatoes, the rollers remain closed until 25-30 kilo of weight force them apart, gently allowing the crop to lower into the bottom of the boxes to be filled. There are two models: an eight box capacity and a ten.
